What's free and what's paid?

Providing a certificate is always free — with or without an account. Requesting and verifying certificates from your own subs is the paid side: your first sub is free, then it's $199 a year for up to 25 active subs, or $349 for unlimited.

Are subs or their agents ever charged?

Never. Subs can use CertRanger free, and their agents don't even need an account — they can upload the certificate on the request page or just reply to the email with it attached.

I’m a sub but I also hire my own subs — do I need two accounts?

No. One login does both. It’s free while you’re only responding to requests, and moves to the paid plan the day you start requesting certificates from your own subs — first one free.

Can I cancel?

Yes — it's an annual plan and you can cancel anytime. Your certificates and audit records stay exportable so nothing's locked in.
